Reaction System
What is Reaction System Mode?
Reaction System Mode is designed to train reaction time, focus, and decision-making using visual cues displayed on Sportreact pods.
During the workout, pods will light up with specific signals such as colors, numbers, arrows, or symbols. The athlete must react as quickly as possible by touching the pod or moving close enough to deactivate it.
This mode improves:
-
Reaction speed
-
Visual processing
-
Attention and focus
-
Hand-eye and foot-eye coordination
-
Cognitive-motor performance
Reaction System Mode is widely used in sports training, rehabilitation, and cognitive-motor development.
Types of reaction drills
Reaction System Mode includes several drill types, depending on how simple or cognitively challenging you want the task to be.
Single-stimulus drills:
-
Follow One – react to one specific pod
-
Follow Color – react to a specific color
-
Follow Sign – react to a specific number, letter, or symbol
These are ideal for beginners, rehab patients, or simple reaction training.
Multi-stimulus drills (higher cognitive load):
-
Follow Sign & Color – react only when both the correct sign and color appear
-
Lonely One – identify and react to the correct pod among multiple distractions
These drills train decision-making, attention, and cognitive processing under pressure.
How to create a Reaction System workout

Choose your desired drill type
-
Arrange your pods in any layout that fits your training goal
You can mount pods on:
-
Tripods

-
Boxing bags
-
Floors or adhesive surfaces
Your setup depends on whether you're training hands, feet, agility, or rehabilitation.
Deactivation options
Pods can be deactivated in multiple ways depending on your training needs.
Touch activation
Athlete touches the pod to deactivate the signal.
Distance activation (proximity sensor)
Athlete moves their hand, foot, or body close to the pod.
You can adjust the activation distance in the settings.
To test the distance:
Move your hand toward the pod. The light will turn red when the sensor detects your hand.
Long-range sensor option
You can enable the long-range IR sensor for activities where touching the pod is not possible, such as:
-
Tennis swings
-
Kicking drills
-
Running past pods
-
Non-contact rehab exercises
Use higher sensitivity settings (30% or more) to increase the activation distance.
